English Abstract: The scientific work presents an analysis of the quality of life of the Russian population on the basis of national and international statistical sources. The aim of the study is to develop recommendations to improve the standard of living and the quality of life of the population of the Russian Federation. Statistical research methods, such as the compilation of collected data and their tabular presentation, were applied. A number of areas have been identified that are detrimental to the social and economic development of the State. These include a decline in the financial welfare of the population, poor housing conditions, health problems and environmental pollution
